Selecting Overview → Analytics → Insight Analytics Packet → UDP displays the UDP dashboard. The UDP tab is highlighted.


Usage Note: Before any analytics can be collected, a valid license must be installed and activated, and a Packet Engine must be configured in Manage Packet Engine. Please refer to this section to configure Packet Engines, third-party tools, upload and manage PCAP files and to manage Packet Engine configurations.


The UDP dashboard section provides valuable information about UDP traffic flowing to and from the switch. Individual widget types provide valuable data and are used for further data drilldown. The upper area of the dashboard displays widgets and tabular data which include:


        • Top UDP Source Host – display of top UDP host sources.
        • Top UDP Destination Host – display of top UDP destination hosts.
        • # of UDP Packets – total number of UDP packets collected in packet capture sample.

The middle area of the dashboard displays widgets and tabular data which include:


  • Top UDP Source Port – display of UDP ports originating from source.
  • Top UDP Destination Port – display of UDP ports at destination.
  • UDP Average Jitter – timestamped display of average frame time.
  • # of UDP Packets by DSCP Distribution – display of number of UDP packets by Differentiated Service Code Point distribution values.
  • Top UDP Source Mac – source MAC address.
  • Top UDP Destination Domain – display by domain name or address of UDP connection by destination.

The bottom area of the dashboard displays widgets and tabular data which include:


  • UDP Packet Length Distribution – count and size of packet frame len ranges.
  • Top UDP Source Domain – display by domain name or address of UDP connection by source.
  • Top UDP Destination Mac – top destination MAC address.
