Depending on the type of license purchased for use with UNUM select the desired configuration.

Note: Configure multiple Fabrics in parallel after completing an initial configuration. While the first Fabric is being created/discovered you launch another Fabric creation process by clicking on the desired Fabric icon as shown above.

Seed Switch

Click the Seed Switch icon to create a new seed switch and enter the required parameters.

The dashboard will display the newly added Fabric and associated seed switch information. Discovery of devices within the fabric begins automatically.

Note: A default collector named netvisor-collector-fabricname is created when the Fabric is created. View and manage the Collector selecting Overview → Manage → Manage Collector.

Clicking on the blue arrow icon  will expand the fabric information to include all switches that make up the fabric. A topology map is created and displayed after discovery occurs.

Topology maps may be very simple or extremely complex (large) depending on the nature of the fabric. Complex maps are easily resized by positioning the cursor in the display window and resizing using your mouse scroll control or selecting the topology map and moving it within the display window.

Selecting the Fabric name from the Global list of fabrics reveals addition information about the devices in the fabric. Detailed information includes Host Name, Mgmt IP/MAC address, In-Band IP/MAC address, Connect Type, Output Port and device State. You sort the list of Collectors in the Collector Management dashboard using the up / down  arrows above each of the columns to display the information in a convenient fashion.

As previously stated device discovery begins automatically when a new Fabric is created. However, you have the option to manually discover devices. Click the Cog  icon next to the Details of… and select Trigger Device Discovery to re-initialize discovering devices in the Fabric.
