Layer 3 – Tunnel VXLAN - Tunnel Virtual Link Extension Virtual Extensible Local Area Network


Tunnel VXLAN


Selecting Overview → Manage → Layer 3 → Tunnel VXLAN displays the Tunnel VXLAN dashboard with a list of any existing Tunnel VxLAN settings.


Select the desired Fabric from the left side navigation bar and the dashboard updates showing all Tunnel VXLAN entries from all switches within the Fabric.


Note: If no entries exist a "No Data Exists" message is displayed. You must first configure an entry on a switch. Prerequisite settings and configuration may be required.



The dashboard displays a list of existing Tunnel VXLAN entries by Switch and Select name.


Additional parameters include: Tunnel and VXLAN.


You sort the list of entries in the dashboard using the up / down  arrows above each of the columns to sort the information as needed.

You select the name of the Tunnel from the drop-down list of available tunnels.

The dashboard updates displaying the configuration of the selected Switch.


You select the ---ALL--- parameter to display all Tunnels. This option exists for both Fabric and individual switches.

To delete a Tunnel VXLAN entry use Delete by selecting the Cog  icon. A confirmation message requires an acknowledgment to continue deletion.

Click OK to continue or Cancel to return to the previous screen without making any changes.


Select the desired switch from the fabric and the dashboard updates automatically with Tunnel VXLAN switch settings.


The dashboard displays a list of existing VxLAN entries by name and VXLAN number.


You sort the list of entries in the dashboard using the up / down  arrows above each of the columns to sort the information as needed.

To obtain detailed information about a Tunnel VXLAN  select an entry in the dashboard.


A Details pane opens displaying the configuration information of the Tunnel VXLAN .


Scroll through the list, as needed, and click X to return to the dashboard.

Tunnel VxLANs are added by selecting Add a VXLAN to a tunnel.


To add a VXLAN select the name of the desired Tunnel and click Add a VXLAN to a tunnel.

Enter the configuration parameters which include:


  • vxlan - (required) - VXLAN identifier


Select the VXLAN identifier from the drop-down list.

Click Save to continue or Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving any changes.


The Tunnel is added to the Tunnel VXLAN.
