SSH Console Feature


There are features and functions used in Arista NetVisor UNUM and Insight Analytics that are common throughout the user interface (UI). Please refer to the Common Functions section for more information on the use of these functions and features.


You access a switch via a SSH Console session for any switch entry by clicking SSH using the Cog icon next to the switch to be accessed.

Enter the Username and Password for the switch and select Local Switch to run specific CLI commands on the local switch.


Note: To execute command on a local switch only, use Switch Local. While in the SSH console and using the CLI the display of an asterisk * denotes commands will run on the local switch. To revert to displaying information from all switches disable Switch Local.


Click Login to continue or Cancel to return to the previous screen.


A SSH Console CLI session is opened on the selected switch.

For example, entering a switch CLI command on a switch running VLANs will return that information to the SSH console.

Use of Vertical Layout


In some cases, a command's horizontal output may be wide and wrap inside the terminal CLI session. To display the information in a vertical format use the format command layout vertical. To revert, omit the format command.
