Use the following configuration screens to build your fabric.

Populate the setup window with the required information necessary to build the fabric, including one VLAN ID for initial day-0 connectivity.

Enter the information manually or use a Host File to populate the configuration window. Click +Choose File if you wish to use a host file.

A sample host file is available by clicking the Sample Host File link.

Note: The VRRP virtual IP address can either be an x.x.x.1 with a master router of x.x.x.2 and an alternate of x.x.x.3, or x.x.x.254 with a master router of x.x.x.253 and an alternate of x.x.x.253.  Administrators should choose the high or low option based on their fabric requirements.

Note: The green check marks on each line of switch information indicate that the switch is reachable and is in the applicable, unconfigured state. If a red x appears instead, administrators should check to see if they have a switch that is unreachable or already has a configuration applied. In the latter case, the switch needs to have the switch-config-reset command run on it to remove the configuration.

Caution: The switch-config-reset command deletes the current config information, so use with caution.

Legend

The green check indicates a switch is reachable and in an unconfigured (or reset) state.

The red X indicates a switch is unreachable or already has Fabric information configured and will need a reset during the provisioning process.

The rotating  icon indicates a short discovery process to determine the switch configuration status.

Click Add to continue and add the new switches. The NetVisor UNUM Dashboard displays a message confirming a successful add of the new seed switch.

Conversely, a failed message is displayed if the seed switch cannot be added. You should review all configuration parameters and try again in this event.

The Fabric Topology dashboard appears and indicates the progress of configuring the new fabric.

An Overall Progress Bar displays the status of the fabric creation and Individual Progress Bars display the configuration progress of each switch.

Indicators on the Topology Map display switch configuration checkpoints and status messages.
